Lindy is FOUND her new foster home!

Lindy is a beautiful black and white female Cocker Spaniel. She is eight
years old, and visually impaired, but you would never know it. She
is low-vision, meaning she can see but not that well.
She is a cuddly sweetheart who loves to curl up on the couch
or in her dog bed and snuggle.

She is very low-maintenance, just asking for some affection
and a warm bed. She does love affection, though, and will
want to come up to you to have her head petted.
Lindy's low vision has made her low on the priority
list. She has been waiting for a home for a year. Her
foster Mom can no longer keep her, so we are looking for
either another foster home or an adoptive home.

She is spayed, current on all shots, and healthy.
If you are interested in either fostering or adopting Lindy,
please contact Cockerconnection@yahoo.com.

Jenny-ADOPTED!

Jennie is a very sweet 7 year old female Cocker Spaniel.
She is almost all white with two buff spots on her back.
Jennie came into the shelter last week, and we rescued
her immediately. She seems to be very upset to be without
a home, and keeps waiting for someone to take her home
with them.

Jennie is spayed and up to date on all shots.

Jennie is healthy, housebroken, and very, very loving.
She wants nothing more than to lie at your feet when
you work on your computer or watch TV. She is a
very gentle dog, but we think she needs to be an only
dog in the home because she is possessive of her food.
She is not food-possessive around people.
She would be an ideal dog for a retired person who
is not too active but wants a nice companion. Jennie
likes a lot of affection and cuddling. Please email Sue
at Cockerconnection@yahoo.com to find out more
about Jennie.

BELLA (I'm ready for my close-up now, Mr. DeMille!)(ADOPTED)

Bella is a gorgeous one year old Cockapoo. If you saw this
dog at a Shelter you might walk right by her, but look
what beauty lies just below the surface. With a good haircut,
a bath, and some TLC, Bella has been transformed from
a scruffy Shelter Dog into a loving family pet.

Bella has been adopted by a wonderful family
who adores her. She is playful and also obedient
and very fun.

Molly- ADOPTED!

Molly is now in a new home in Wisconsin!
She loves the snow, and loves to go for walks
at the Dog Park. Her companions are two labs
named Chloe and Angel! (UPDATE)
Molly's story is amazing!
Molly walked into a truck stop as Sue was getting gas. It turned out that her
owner had dropped her off at a truck stop, and she was being cared for by the
trucker that found her. The trucker stayed with her until someone came
to rescue her. As if by divine appointment, Sue happened to pull off the Interstate for gas. Sue went in to the store, and Molly followed. Molly is
between one and two years old. She is current on all shots, and in good
health. Molly is a dog who should be with someone who is home all day.
She gets along well with everybody. She adores other dogs, and of course,
people. She loves to roll over on her back to get belly rubs!
Please contact Sue at Baxterandfriends@yahoo.com to find out more (Molly has been adopted)
about Molly.

Gigi-ADOPTED!

Gigi's new name is OLIVIA LLAMA. She has been adopted by a wonderful
family and her new best friend is JULIETTE, a mini-daschund.
We were so lucky to have found the adoptive family!. We
got a call one night from someone who was submitting an application
for Gigi. When I got home and read the application, the description of
the dog they were looking for said, (no joke) "quirky, mean, and
wierd looking." My heart skipped a beat! I thought, can they be serious,
because if they are, then Gigi is the perfect dog for them!.

They went to the foster home to meet Gigi, and I coached them as if
the dog was Hannibal Lechter. "Be sure not to reach out to her. She
bites. Let her come to you. Don't leave your fingers out for her to bite".
Well, when they went to the house to meet Gigi, she immediately started
playing and running around with their dog Juliette. Then Gigi and Juliette
lay down next to each other. After that, Gigi went to the family and licked
their hands. Needless to say, she has a new home, a new playmate, a loving
family, and a second chance!

Fluffy- ADOPTED!

Fluffy is a darling six year old female Cocker Spaniel. Fluffy is sweet and
charming and does her best to please. She was found by her foster family
wandering through a park in Los Angeles. We don't know if someone
dumped her or she just walked away, but she was very nervous when the
family found her. She kept looking around, waiting for her family to
come back for her. Fluffy had some medical problems but we have taken
care of them. She would love a gentle home with nice people who would love
to make her part of the family. Fluffy loves treats, walks and watching TV.
Oh, and she is a great cuddler, too!
